Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
