Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
