Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
