Shall he then whose breast Allah hath expanded for Islam, so that he followeth a light from his Lord be as he whose heart is hardened? Then woe unto those whose hearts are hardened against remembrance of Allah. They are in an error manifest. 22 Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide. 23 Is he whose face is cautious of the evil of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection (to be compared to the unbeliever)! To the evildoers it shall be said: 'Now taste that which you have been earning' 24 Those before them had denied, therefore the punishment came to them from a place they did not know. 25 So Allah made them taste humiliation in the life of the world. And surely the torment of the Hereafter is greater - if they but know! 26 We have given examples of every kind for men in this Qur'an so that they may contemplate: 27 a Quran in Arabic, free from any ambiguity -- so that people may be mindful. 28 Allah propoundeth a similitude: man having several partners, quarelling, and a man wholly belonging to one man. Are the two equal in likeness? All praise unto Allah. But most of them know not. 29 Truly thou wilt die (one day), and truly they (too) will die (one day). 30 then on the Day of Resurrection before your Lord you shall dispute. 31
