Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who cry lies to the Book and that wherewith We sent Our Messengers -- soon they will know! 70 When the fetters and chains are round their necks they shall be dragged 71 In the boiling fetid fluid: then in the Fire shall they be burned; 72 then it is said to them, 'Where are those you associated, apart from God?' 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 that is because you exulted in the land without justification and because you behaved insolently. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna, to dwell therein forever.' How evil is the lodging of those that are proud! 76 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true. Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall be returned. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
