Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire. 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 (And it will be said): 'That is because you rejoiced on earth in things of which you had no right, and were very happy. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein, and (indeed) what an evil abode of the arrogant! 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
