Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 they who give the lie to this divine writ and [thus] to all [the messages] with which We sent forth Our apostles [of old]? But in time they will come to know [how blind they have been: they will know it on Judgment Day,] 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 Through boiling waters; then they are thrust into the Fire. 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 Besides Allah? They shall say: They are gone away from us, nay, we used not to call upon anything before. Thus does Allah confound the unbelievers. 74 They will be told, "This (torment) is the result of your unreasonable happiness on the earth and of your propagation of falsehood. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein, and (indeed) what an evil abode of the arrogant! 76 (Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). 77 Assuredly We have sent apostles before thee, of them are these whose story We have recounted unto thee and these whose story We have not recounted unto thee. And it was not possible for any apostle that he should bring a sign save by Allah's leave. So when the commade of Allah cometh, judgment will be given with truth, and then will lose the followers of falsehood. 78

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
