Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 They say, 'Our hearts are veiled from what thou callest us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between us and thee there is a veil; so act; we are acting!' 5 Say (unto them O Muhammad): I am only a mortal like you. It is inspired in me that your Allah is One Allah, therefor take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe unto the idolaters, 6 Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
