Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 This is the revelations from the Beneficent, Merciful God. 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted. 8
