54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Ha. Mim. 1 This is the revelations from the Beneficent, Merciful God. 2 a Book whose verses have been well-expounded; an Arabic Qur'an for those who have knowledge, 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say (unto them O Muhammad): I am only a mortal like you. It is inspired in me that your Allah is One Allah, therefor take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe unto the idolaters, 6 who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life. 7 But those who believe and do the right, will have a continuing reward. 8
