And whatsoever of affliction befalleth you is owing to that which your hands have earned; and He pardoneth much. 30 And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper. 31 And of His Signs are the ships that sail in the sea like mountains. 32 if He willed, He could bring the wind to a standstill and they would lie motionless on the surface of the sea, truly there are signs in this for anyone who is steadfast and grateful, 33 Or He can cause them to perish because of the (evil) which (the men) have earned; but much doth He forgive. 34 He knows all those who dispute His revelations. They will find no way to escape from (His torment). 35 Whatever thing you have been given is the enjoyment of the present life; but what is with God is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 who refrain from heinous sins and gross indecencies; who forgive when they are angry; 37 And those who answer the call of their Lord and establish worship, and whose affairs are a matter of counsel, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them, 38 And those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves. 39 The recompense for evil will be equivalent to the deed. He who pardons (the evil done to him) and reforms himself, will receive his reward from God. God certainly does not love the unjust. 40 Those who defend themselves after they have been wronged cannot be held blameworthy, 41 blame falls only on those who wrong men and transgress on this earth without justification, such will have a painful punishment, 42 And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination. 43
