Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By the manifest Book (that makes things clear, i.e. this Quran). 2 Verily We! We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that haply ye may reflect. 3 And surely it is in the original of the Book with Us, truly elevated, full of wisdom. 4 Shall We turn away the Remembrance from you because you are a sinful nation? 5 And how many a prophet have We sent among the ancients. 6 but not a Prophet came to them, without they mocked at him; 7 so We destroyed those who were mightier in courage than they. And the example of the ancients has passed away. 8 Yet if you were to ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will certainly say: “The All-Mighty, the All-Knowing has created them.” 9 (It is) He who made the earth to be a cradle for you and made in it ways for you, in order that you are guided. 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 That has created pairs in all things, and has made for you ships and cattle on which ye ride, 12 In order that you may mount firmly on their backs, and then may remember the Favour of your Lord when you mount thereon, and say: "Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts)." 13 "And to our Lord, surely, must we turn back!" 14 The pagans have considered some of His servants as His children. There is no doubt that the human being is simply ungrateful. 15
