Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

As for one who turns away from the remembrance of the Gracious God, We appoint for him a devil, who will become his intimate companion. 36 And indeed those devils prevent them from the Straight Path, and they think they are on guidance! 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 On that Day it will not profit you in the least [to know] that, since you have sinned [together,] you are now to share your suffering [as well]. 39 What, shalt thou make the deaf to hear, or shalt thou guide the blind and him who is in manifest error? 40 And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them, 41 or We shall show you what We have promised them; for surely We have complete power over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 And it is undoubtedly an honour for you and your people; and you will soon be questioned. 44 And ask thou Our apostles whom We sent before thee: appointed We gods, beside the Compassionate, to be worshipped? 45
