And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 And indeed those devils prevent them from the Straight Path, and they think they are on guidance! 37 And when he comes before Us, he shall say: 'Would that there had been between me and you, the distance of the two Easts' Evil is the companion. 38 It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah's remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment. 39 What, shalt thou make the deaf to hear, or shalt thou guide the blind and him who is in manifest error? 40 We shall punish them whether We take you away, 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the right path, 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped? 45
