Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him. 36 Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright! 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah's remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment. 39 What, will you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and he who is in clear error? 40 Even if We take you away from the world, We shall surely take vengeance on them 41 Or show you what We have promised them – We therefore have complete control over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path. 43 it is certainly a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be called to account. 44 And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped? 45
