۞ When the son of Mary is mentioned as an example, your people turn away from it 57 And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have set among you angels to be viceroys in the earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 63 "Verily, Allah! He is my Lord (God) and your Lord (God). So worship Him (Alone). This is the (only) Straight Path (i.e. Allah's religion of true Islamic Monotheism)." 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not? 66 On that Day, friends will become each other's enemies, except the righteous -- 67
