۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 And say: "Are our aliha (gods) better or is he ['Iesa (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. [(See VV. 21:97-101) - The Quran.] 58 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Are they awaiting anything other than the Last Hour that it should suddenly come upon them without their even perceiving it? 66 The intimate friends on that Day will be hostile unto one another save the God-fearing. 67
