۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 And say: "Are our aliha (gods) better or is he ['Iesa (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. [(See VV. 21:97-101) - The Quran.] 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 Are they looking for aught but the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they are not aware? 66 On that Day, [erstwhile] friends will be foes unto one another - [all] save the God-conscious. 67
