۞ When the son of Mary is mentioned as an example, your people turn away from it 57 "Are our gods any better than Jesus (for according to Muhammad), if our gods go to hell so too will Jesus. What they say is only a false argument. In fact, they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 But factions from among those [who came after Jesus] began to hold divergent views: woe, then, unto those who are bent on evildoing - [woe] for the suffering [that will befall them] on a grievous Day! 65 Are they merely waiting for the Hour, which will come upon them suddenly and take them unawares? 66 Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah). 67
