We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
