And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 These people say, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
