And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
