and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
