And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
