We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Even then they say: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
