And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
