and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
