And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
