Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 like the dregs of oil, it shall boil in their bellies, 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 This is that which you doubted' 50 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. 53 Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 Verily, We have made this (Qur'an) easy, in thy tongue, in order that they may give heed. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
