Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily, the tree of Zaqqum, 43 The food of the sinner! 44 Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 This is that concerning which you were doubting.' 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 clothed in fine silk and rich brocade, sitting face to face with one another. 53 So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit, in peace and security. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement! 57 Certainly, We have made this (Quran) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
