Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ha; Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Behold, for those who believe there are (myriad) Signs in the heavens and the earth 3 And in your creation, and all the beasts that He scattereth in the earth, are portents for a folk whose faith is sure. 4 And in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: [in all this] there are messages for people who use their reason. 5 These are God's revelations, which We recite to you in all truth. But if they deny God and His revelations, in what message will they believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. 8 for when he does become aware of any of Our messages, he makes them a target of his mockery! For all such there is shameful suffering in store. 9 Hell is awaiting them and none of their deeds will be of any benefit to them, nor will any guardian whom they have chosen besides God. They will suffer a great torment. 10 [To pay heed to God's signs and messages:] this is [the meaning of] guidance; on the other hand, for those who are bent on denying the truth of their Sustainer's messages there is grievous suffering in store as an outcome of [their] vileness. 11
