In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Those who disbelieve and hinder others from the way of Allah, He shall send their works astray. 1 As for those who attained to faith and did righteous works and believed in what was revealed to Muhammad -- which indeed is the Truth from their Lord -- Allah has remitted their evil deeds and has set their condition right. 2 This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. 3 If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 And will admit them into gardens with which he has acquainted them. 6 O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. 7 And those who disbelieve, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain. 8 That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; so He let their works go to waste. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled through the earth, and seen what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them completely and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers. 10 This, because God is the Protector of all who have attained to faith, whereas they who deny the truth have no protector. 11
