Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad SAW) a manifest victory. 1 That Allah may forgive for you what preceded of your sin and what will follow and complete His favor upon you and guide you to a straight path 2 And that Allah may help thee with powerful help. 3 It was He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers, to add faith to their faith -- the forces of the heavens and earth belong to Him; He is all knowing and all wise -- 4 He hath ordained war in order that He may cause the believing men and the believing women enter Gardens whereunder rivers flow, as abiders therein, and that He may expiate from them their misdeeds. And that is with Allah ever an achievement mighty. 5 And to punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women, who think evilly about Allah; upon them only is the evil cycle of misfortune; and Allah has wreaked anger upon them, and has cursed them, and has prepared hell for them; and what an evil destination. 6 And to Allah only belong the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Most Honourable, Wise. 7 We have sent you (Prophet Muhammad) as a witness and as a bearer of glad tidings and warning, 8 so that you (people) may believe in God and His Messenger, help, and respect God and glorify Him in the morning and the evening. 9 Those who swear fealty to thee swear fealty in truth to God; God's hand is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath breaks it but to his own hurt; and whoso fulfils his covenant made with God, God will give him a mighty wage. 10
