Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 [Long] before those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people give the lie to this truth, and [so did] the folk of Ar-Rass, and [the tribes of] Thamud 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
