Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
