And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
