He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
