We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
