We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ And his companion shall say: 'Our Lord, I did not make him insolent, he was far astray' 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
