And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 The human being will certainly experience the agony of death 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
