Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
