Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
