Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
