Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
