Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
