Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
