Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
