Al-Dhaareyaat 2 of 3
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 To send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, 38 Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 It left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
