We built the universe with Our might, giving it its vast expanse. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore hasten to God; truly, I am sent by Him to give you clear warning. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 Surely God is the All-provider, the Possessor of Strength, the Ever-Sure. 58 And verily, they who are bent on doing evil shall have their share [of evil] like unto the share of their fellows [of old]: so let them not ask Me to hasten [their doom]! 59 Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! 60
