We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 And set not up (or worship) any other ilahan (god) along with Allah [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad SAW) am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!" 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 Turn, then, away from them, and thou shalt incur no blame; 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. 56 I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). 60
